Quiz Question:
What One verse in the New King James Version uses the word “Revival”?
(I was praying on Jan.1st,2013 asking the Lord to give me one specific rhema about 2013, so I randomly opened my Bible, looked down and my eyes landed on this one word…Revival!” Ezra 9:8..Wow. Now go back and read Ezra 8.21-9.15…)

God want America to have a “Second Chance”, He want to bring in Global Revival!

Last year, it was the last days of the meetings in Asia. Ron was at the breakfast table and I wanted to get to speak with this “radical activist” of the 1970’s turned “Christian activist”. I like him, and since he is involved in leading many churches, I asked him what the most serious problem was in America since I was planning to return after 14 years overseas. His answer surprised me, he said “It’s APATHY.” No one really cares… enough. Sympathy? Empathy? A lost and forgotten concept.

1.  A-pathy denotes the lack of feelings expressed to bring forth comfort or care.

This December 2012, the senseless killing of 20 precious little children in a East Coast School along with the teachers brought forth a nationwide outcry for stricter gun control, yet the same people who make the demands were often the same who look the other way when 53 million babies in America have been aborted.
In China, they have very strict gun control with over a billion people feeling the oppression, yet a crazy Chinese man kills 20 children almost the same day on the other side of the world, …using only a knife. No one is crying out for… knife control? in China are they?…. they know better. The problem of Sin and Pain goes deeper than these symptoms.
The greatest Apathy, is that people have forgotten to care about…God and their fellow mankind.
Before my Dad passed away, he had a magnet on the fridge which said, “Remember, that love your neighbor thing? I meant it, Signed, God”. The media makes sure that our TV is filled with thousands of desensitizing acts of violence everyday with no censorship, with government funding and approval, and then dare ask the question, “Why?” Do you hear people crying out “MEDIA VIOLENCE BRAINWASHING CONTROL?? The Media would censor it, right?
America has been desensitized, perhaps, their sense of right and wrong, numbed, or seared so it feels…nothing. Lacking feeling, a over-stimulated, flatness. People say to me, “America DID remember God at 9/11, yet a few months later, then…forgot? life was back to …normal?” Normal means Apathy, and Apathy is in fact, the greatest plague on the future of the USA and the whole world Globally..
Apathy is evil.
In China last year, a van was captured on video tape that shocked, even the apathy of a billion Chinese who thought they had seen it all. In a busy city street, the van carelessly runs over a little girl, stops, looks, backs over her again perhaps in fear that if she wasn’t dead, he might be responsible for the medical bills, then drives off. Tragic. She was still alive, barely, and then the rest of the story. People are filmed walking by her, stepping over her, around her, acting if she didn’t exist. Mother’s with child in hand, young and old, about 18 people total, until a street sweeping old lady kneels down, in pity, pulls the child aside and starts to try and get help. She alone cared.
I was warned about this before going to Asia. A friend Kim told me how she was in Beijing in the 80’s in the park when a child’s body came floating under the bridge, so in panic, she rushed down yelling for help, and then after diving in, to get the dead child, noticed to her horror, that no one else wished to even help! She warned me.
So when people ask me, what are you doing in Asia, I feel like answering, “Trying to teach them how to care.” Now back in the USA, when people asking me, “What are you doing back in the States? I want to also answer the same way…so much for Human Rights,.

2.  Apathy is the great Human Wrong of all cultures!

Sadly, it is infectious. Like radioactive fallout, if you are exposed for too long, you also die, inwardly, spiritually die. Life is so busy in America. Interestingly, the Chinese character for “Busy” (mang) is made of two characters called “radicals” one is for “dead” and the other is “heart”, so it says, “too busy?, you suffer from a dead, apathetic, heart!
Are you too busy to really care? Are you even spiritually alive?
A few weeks back, I was able to visit the National Museum of the US Air Force. They had a few sections I remember the most, WWII posters. “Slave World or Free World?” “Deliver us from Evil”, “Someone Talked!” “This IS the Enemy!” and “ The Enemy is Listening”!. It made me think, “what kind of world are we trying to leave behind in our generation, for our children and grand-children? A Slave World or a Free World? How are we going about doing this? How can we do it better? Deliver us from Evil? Yes, Apathy is evil.
In all cultures, Apathy is evil. In Syria, Egypt, around the global community, Action is being taken for the better or worse by the Catalysts. I want to be God’s Catalyst for Good!

“And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that God may enlighten our eyes, and give us a MEASURE of REVIVAL in our bondage. For we are slaves, Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage, but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to REVIVE us, to REPAIR the house of our God, to REBUILD its ruins and to give us a Wall….” Ezra 9.8,9.

Are you willing to seek God with all your heart in prayer in fasting? Perhaps the Measure of Revival, God will Multiply…if we care enough? Let that be our Prayer in 2013 and thank you all for praying…In His Care, Tim
